Boil the water and literally cook for 2 or 3 minutes, rapidly, if from frozen.

can only do them from fresh for the best flavour.
i like garlic butter on them! yummmm!

OK well for frozen beans I usually put them in a pan with a tablespoon of butter, half teaspoon of salt, then I add a small amount of water not even to cover the beans, just enough to steam them with the lid on for 8 minutes or so. I also like to add some minced garlic and hot pepper flakes at the last minute of cooking.

You cant beat fresh. Next time add a pinch of salt and sugar to the water.
