Hi, I’m in college and want to purchase a rice cooker. I would like it to be cheap but not so cheap that it doesn’t do a good job cooking rice and it should automatically turnoff when done cooking rice instead of using a keep warm mode (college requires such). Any recommendations?

Dang It
I had one the aluminum rice bowl was removable for cleaning
the weight of the rice and water turned the cook switch on as it evaporated the spring popped up to turn it OFF
Sorry I have no idea of the brand but it did say 1 Cup
Sorry I know I bought it in an Asians market ( King Wah ? – Sacramento)
Now I don’t know if you have tried to post on any of the bulletin boards across campos
stop at the hardware and Appliance stores .
remember a simple on off timer will work also but you will have to do the testing
I just re-read your Q
You already know to ask the college administrators
” they require ” as you said
waste my time
