I want to cook rice for dinner tonight, but am making rice & milk for my kids for lunch… can I cook a huge pot of it in the rice cooker and will it be good for dinner tonight around 6 pm? (It’s 12pm now).

The rice should be fine for up to 6 hours on warm, I wouldn’t keep it in there…say over 8 hours. You could always refrigerate the rice and reheat it. I know that rice dishes do fine in a slow cooker for 8 – 10 hours so it should be fine.

It’ll be good for a good few days, ensure you shut the lid properly so that bacteria doesn’t get in (they love warm rice, perfect breeding ground), or why not just put it into a tub and put it into the fridge, and heat it up later?
