When cooking oatmeal in my rice cooker, how long should I cook it once the water starts to boil? Do I have to wait for the machine to switch off?

THAT IS SUCH A FANTASTIC IDEA. I knew there was a reason for bringing a rice cooker to college.
But I think that just eyeballing it would be okay… and by eyeballing I mean stirring it occasionally to check the consistency. I think that waiting until the machine turns off automatically would be too long, because rice isn’t as absorbent as oatmeal, and it’s programmed to cook rice.
