I just did this..
I put the same amount of water for white rice but I did notice that it took longer for it to cook. Came out perfect though. My cooker stops cooking when its ready and my cooker is pretty old.
Try using a tad bit more water.

And you used the rice cooker? I also use the rice cooker…and it just seems to “know” when the rice is done and I do the same thing that you did…double the amount of liquid as rice… weird. How old is your rice cooker…if it is old, then it might be time for a new one, if it’s new, it might be defective and you might need to take it back.

It depends on the specifications of the rice cooker that you have for the measurements of water you use with brown rice or regular white grain.

i think its 2 cups of water for evry one cup of rice….
