What do I need to do with the rice to make it taste good and hold the flavor. My Puerto rican friend’s mom cooked the best rice I have ever tasted. Rice is in my culture so we tend to eat it everyday.

I use my rice cooker all the time! It makes great rice! You can substitute chicken or beef broth for the water. You can add some butter or margarine and some salt. You can use water or any broth and add mixed vegetables–this is my family’s favorite! I do this all the time. You can even add butter with the mixed vegetables–I use frozen vegetables. Use your imagination–be creative! I hope this helps!! Bon Apetit!

Ask what she puts in it. There are countless ways to flavor rice. Add the spices directly to the water, mix well, add the rice and turn the machine on.

Use chicken broth instead of water and add some cumin.
