How To Handle The Remaining Rice In The Rice Cooker?

I have bought a rice cooker for the first time. I am wondering, overnight, what am I supposed to do with the remaining rice in the removable pot after using just a small portion ? I mean, should I put the inner pot with the rice in the fridge? or should I just remove the rice and put it in another recipient before putting it in the fridge?

The bast way to store cooked rice is in a seal-able (zip-top) plastic bag. Be sure to squeeze out any excess air from the bag, and just store it in the refrigerator. If you’re not planning to use the rest of the rice within a few days, it can be frozen.

Technically the inner pot of your rice cooker is refrigerator safe, but since it is a new rice cooker, your rice may pick up some funky plasticy taste from it. I agree that the best way to store rice is to transport it into a tuberware and stick it in the fridge or freezer
