my method (im asian so very experienced lol) i wash the rice til the water goes clear, this keeps the rice from getting gluggy, then you put it in the rice cooker with water, make sure to spread the rice out evenly in the bottom of the cooker, put the lid on and press down the cook rice button and thats all there is to it, it will jump to keep warm when the rice is cooked. if i cook one cup of rice i put in one and a half cups of water, two cups – two and half cup etc hope that helps

I think it depends on the type of rice u are going to cook. For example variety rice takes a lot more time and plain rice can be made quickly. If it’s ot minute rice, you are going to need to soak the rice for a couple of hours so that it takes less time to cook in the cooker. if it’s minute rice, which I suggest most, since most people don’t have all day to be cooking rice. Just follow the directions on the box. http://www.planyourdinner.com

Ok it depends how do you want your rice to be cooked..whether it’s wet or dry..at first you have to wash ur rice about tree times..and then put water to it..There is a trick to know how much water to put in..you can measure it simply by using your finger..for dry rice..first you tip your finger into the rice and measure the height..and then put water until it is double to the height of the rice..for wet put a lil bit more..

I have a rice cooker and the first few times I used it I was following recipe and rice bag instructions and it never worked. I finally read the instructions that came with the rice cooker and followed them and now I make perfect rice every time
