I know peanut oil has a high smoking point and is usually specified in oriental cooking but I prefer canolla oil. I use a well seasoned steel wok on an electric stove. Unfortunately I don’t have a gas stove. How about white crisco or butter flavored crisco now that it is transfat free?

I have the opportunity to get a rice cooker for free. we do eat rice, but I am wondering if it will just be taking up space because we don’t eat rice all the time.

I went to a friend house and she had the wolfgang puck rice cooker and cook fish ,rice ( of course) and a cake. I wnt to buy one and it is sold out every where then i was wondering can you cook ( non rice) in any rice cooker?
