I cook my turkey in a brown paper bag soaked throughout with melted butter. The turkey cooks in about 3 hrs and always comes out moist and juicy. It seems many of the loaves I make will have dark outsides before it is finished cooking. I follow the directions for baking and it still comes out darker than I like.
Do I need to lower the temperature? I have tried lowering the temperature by 50 degrees about half way through. Or switch rack levels (I bake on center rack) This is frustrating and I want a cooked loaf with a beautiful outside! Please help!
