There was a question that asked about a rack, but I don’ t have a rack…but, I really want to make tamales and thought the rice cooker would be great. Has anyone done it? Anything I need to be aware of?

So i have a rice cooker and i have tried several different brands of rice, in teriyaki joints their white sticky rice is always sooo, do they season it before they maek it? i mean it does’nt taste like any seasonings but almost every teriyaki joint has super good rice!

the booklet for the rice cooker said for 2 cups i should have 4 cups of water, when i did this, it was something that reminded me of gruel, and i am not asking for more (Oliver)

i recently got into indian cooking and have learnt how to make chicken, mince meat and chick-peas curry – i invited some friends over and they all gave 11 out of 10 for my culinary skills!

It’s especiallhy hard to remove rice which has hardened . What’s the best technique to remove them? I tried steel wool but it scratches the surface of the container. Is there a specific technique I don’t know about that you can do to make sure that it doesn’t stick to the sides and bottom in the first place?

I found a recipe that didn’t require any other ingredients except rice, water and coconut milk and now I can’t find it!
I am making it to side with spicy shrimp sauteed with garlic and onions if that helps.

Also, is it normal for there ot be just 2 dashes on the lcd screen when the white rice button is highlighted?
