Im looking to purchase a microwave rice cooker but im afraid to buy one that wont work. I want one that will actually cook rice and is fast. I want to be able to cook rice for school so I would like it to cook the rice for around 10min and under. I would be using it to cook white rice, jasmine rice, and brown rice. Does anyone know of a good dependable rice cooker?

I am looking for recipes and cooking times.
I cook wild, long, medium and short grain rices, teff, amaranth, quinoa and buckwheat. Basically all the gluten free grain and grain alternatives. I cook both whole grains and whole ground grains.
My microwave is 1100W.
I currently cook traditionally but it is hard for me to be present through out the cooking process.

I live in the dorms at a local college and have no stove/oven to cook in, so I am constantly missing out on real food. If anyone has any helpful and good resipes for cooking in the microwave or any other method they have created please help!!

I was reading a food recipe in which it was mentioned its cooking time in over as 180 degree centigrade heat and 30 minutes , if I want to cook that food in microwave, how much time it requires to make the food cooked in microwave?

how do you use a Kathryn Beich microwave rice cooker?

We are getting a GE Profile over the range convection microwave for our new kitchen instead of a regular range. I have never used a convection microwave so any tips or recipes would be appreciated. I will be using it mostly for baking (brownies, cookies, cakes, etc), roasting (chicken), warming, and browning/toasting. Any information is greatly appreciated!

My roommate says I should be cooking my Irish Oatmeal on the stovetop instead of the microwave. He says that the microwave takes away it’s nutritional value. I don’t see how it could?? I tastes exactly the same to me..
