How Do I Remove Split Cooking Oils / Fats On My Gas Cooker?

Posted by: RiceCookersSteamers.net

February 8th, 2010 >> Cooking tips

I do keep a clean house and pride myself on it! However, a minor mishap resulted in cooking fat spilling all over my gas cooker, on to the suface plates, the gas jet housing / stems and everywhere. I took it all apart, bought all sorts of clening agents, scrubbed and scrubbed, even left the main body parts to soak (not sure if the main gas fitting items are bronze metal parts or not) but I still cannot altogether remove the stains.
Has anyone got any ideas as to what I should use or do?
I’m a widower & strugglong with this. My late wife would of course have first cursed my disrupting her kitchen then, (under strict orders) I’d have been put to work – with all the necessary agents – to clean up the mess I made!

How Do You Remove Cooking Spray From Pans?

December 21st, 2009 >> Cooking tips

I use cooking spray on baking sheets and casserole dishes. After cooking this stuff leaves a nasty brown stain/residue on my cookware. You can kinda feel it but can’t scrub it off. Even after soaking you can’t get it off. Is there something that will work? Would oven cleaner be ok? From now on I’m through with that stuff. If it makes my dishes look like that there’s no telling what it’s doing to my insides!

How Can I Remove Cooking Spray From A Wall Without Discolouring The Paint?

Posted by: RiceCookersSteamers.net

November 9th, 2009 >> Cooking tips

An intoxicated friend decided it would be funny to graffiti tag our walls with cooking oil spray about a month before we moved out of our apartment and now we can’t get it out and are risking a $600 fine for it. Unfortunately, we don’t have the option to repaint the walls. So far we have tried Mr. Clean, undiluted Mr. Clean, Goo Gone, and Degreaser and nothing has even made a dent in his graffiti work. Does anyone know what might get it off without discolouring the paint?
